To address the challenges faced by call center agents and users managing communication cases and documents, a complete redesign of the employer and member dashboards was undertaken. The primary goal was to enhance usability, streamline workflows, and introduce new functionality tailored to specific user needs. Through a user-centered approach, we identified pain points, iterated on solutions, and ultimately delivered a design that improved efficiency and satisfaction. For employers, the existing dashboard posed challenges in managing communication cases due to a lack of search and filtering options. Essential tasks, like locating specific documents or transactions, were cumbersome, and rarely used sections cluttered the interface. Our redesign introduced advanced search capabilities, allowing users to locate documents and transactions by date and category. We also restructured the layout to prioritize high-usage areas while consolidating or removing redundant features, resulting in a more streamlined and intuitive experience. Similarly, members faced difficulties tracking documents and distinguishing between various case types. The original dashboard offered little organization or clarity, making it hard for users to find critical information. The redesigned member dashboard addressed these issues with an improved visual hierarchy and functionality like checkboxes for document tracking and advanced sorting features. These changes not only improved task completion rates but also reduced user frustration.

Through iterative usability testing and stakeholder collaboration, the redesigned dashboards succeeded in meeting the needs of both employers and members. Key metrics, such as average handling time and user satisfaction, showed significant improvement post-launch. This project highlighted the value of incorporating end-user feedback throughout the design process, balancing feature requests with practical usability enhancements, and focusing on simplicity to drive meaningful results.
